Enterprise Application Architecture (EAI)

i2t2 provides EAI (enterprise application integration) by consolidating, and coordinating enterprise- wide applications. An enterprise might have existing legacy applications and databases and may choose to continue using the legacy applications while adding or migrating to a new set of applications that exploit the Internet, and other new technologies. EAI involves designing the enterprise and its applications to accommodate new applications and data while effectively retaining the existing applications.

i2t2 EAI methodology involves using object-oriented programming, distributed, cross-platform tools using message brokers with Common Object Request Broker Architecture and COM+, the modification of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to fit new objectives, enterprise-wide content and data distribution using common databases and data standards implemented with the Extensible Markup Language (XML), middleware, message queuing, and other approaches. Common EAI tools used include SAP Netweaver XI, Vitria, TIBCO, IBM WebSphere MQ/WBI, SeeBeyond, Microsoft Biztalk and WebMethods.
